The subject heading says it all. I'm making a parody fandub using (primarily) Robotech clips - redubbing the dialog to make a humorous movie called Fanbase One. Anyone who has seen "Fanboy Bebop," "This is Otakudom" or "EVA: Redeath" will immediately know what I'm talking about. I need comments, criticism, and people to bounce ideas and jokes off off so I can make sure they are funny.
Here's the cliffs notes version: In Fanbase One, the Macross is the starship Fanbase One - haven for all the fanboys scattered across the galaxy. But Admiral Breetai and his Saban Armada are charged with recovering the ship - actually one of the last remaining artifacts of the Translation Masters, makers of the mysterious power source known as "Subculture!"
Breetai and his armada attack the ship while the crew enjoys Anime Weekend Earth (A.K.A. Operation Shock and A.W.E., the biggest con in the galaxy,) forcing Captian Global to order an escape with the ship's Infinite Improbability drive. Not only is the drive replaced with cottage cheese (at an improbability factor of 250x10^255 to one), but they accidentally take the entire con with them!
Fanboy pilots Rick Hunter, Ben Dixon, Max Sterling, and Roy Fokker (famous for being so amazingly cool he's called a fanman (man...man...man...) rather than a fanboy) must protect not only the Fanbase but the helpless congoers trapped inside, including a total newbie named Lynn Minmei who thinks that Tuxedo Mask's name is "Darien Sheilds," and prevent Breetai's Saban Armada from unleashing thier doomsday weapon - an American remake of Sailor Moon - on the unsuspecting populace of the earth!
So, in otherwords, it's going to be VERY silly, and a lot of fun. I'd like some ideas on jokes to include and such, if it isn't too much trouble.
