Folks,
Thanks to everyone who sent in Oregon Listing Results for 2020 ! The results
are up on the Oregon Birding Association website.
2020 was a year of different birding. We traveled less. We birded our
backyards more, or the next county. We took time to tally lists we hadn’t
updated for a while. eBird helped folks who might not have kept track before
put together new lists. Take a look at the number of new county life lists and
year lists reported.
We welcome the 15 new participants who boosted to 157 the number of birders
submitting data to these 2020 Oregon Listing Results (a new high number of
participants). To give context to this year’s numbers, I have carried forward
numbers from 176 other birders, plus 29 deceased birding friends.
In total, these Oregon Listing Results include the efforts of 362 birders
spanning the last 40 years
Take a look at the Summary to see the highlights. See who surpassed
significant milestones. See who upset long-standing records.
It’s all up on the OBA website at https://oregonbirding.org/listing/
Thank you to Caryn Stoess for all her help with the website, both the data
input and the publishing. Thanks to Ken Chamberlain for spreading the word to
several lists I can’t reach.
