Stacy, so sorry. I realized after I hit *send* that I didn't put my location.
:D I am in the Dixonville area about a 1 1/2 miles from where the Dixonville
Rd meets Roberts Creek Rd.

I heard a foy Rufous male yesterday. He was quite visible today guarding the
feeder. My first Tree Swallow was spotted on Feb 18th but he moved on. No
more until yesterday when a couple was spotted on the wire above the nest box,
possibly the pair that nest there every year.
I reported Calif Towhees on the GBBC in February and was asked for more detail.
Then, Matt Hunter contacted me. I didn't know they were anything special
since I was so used to them in my yard in So Cal. Apparently, this is the
northern edge of their range. I think they've been here all three years I've
lived here (?) There is one pair I see/hear on a daily basis and 2 or 3 others
that pop in and out of the yard as well.
