Any breeding season sightings of Northern Harrier in Douglas County will
trigger a request for details as they are rare as a breeder in the county.
They are most regular in the breeding season in coastal areas, especially
the dunegrass areas.

(seven miles west of Elkton) heading to vineyard areas and open
pasture. I didn't think this sighting was that unusual (we have seen
them before in this area), but while entering this on ebird, I was told
this species is rare for this area.
