There really isn't much of an update on the hummingbird nest on our front
porch. It continues to be fascinating to watch from our living room. I took a
peak at the eggs this morning, and still no chicks.

It's interesting to look at all the pictures I've posted on my flickr page, the
first on March 23rd, and the latest one today, to see how the nest has grown
and shaped. It was only half built when she laid her eggs, and she just
continues to work at it, all day, every day. She'll spend 10 minutes on the
nest and two minutes off the nest and bring back moss, lichen, or white fuzz,
which is what she appears to line her nest with.

I have pictures of the inside of the nest, with eggs, twice: from two weeks
ago, and then today. You can see the growth of lichen on the outside of the
nest by comparing those two pictures.

Originally we just took pictures through our living room window, from one
angle. Then we moved the camera to our side deck. While it is further away from
the nest, the pictures a little better not shooting through glass. So you can
see the slightly different angles in the pictures.

We await for the big day. I'm not sure we'll know exactly when it comes,
because we can't really see inside the nest, and we hate to bother her by
trying to take pictures of the inside -- we've done it only these two times.
