Hi Folks out there in Umpqua bird land!
I've noticed that folks from both the Rogue and Willamette Valleys have
begun reporting northward-migrating Sandhill Cranes along the west
foothills of the Cascades or eastern valley borders. For us that would be
roughly Dixonville to Glide and maybe a bit farther east. If you're in that
vicinity over the next few weeks, keeps your ears open (their calls are
distinctive) and look to the skies for cranes! Let us know if you find any.
