There's another active nest with 3 or 4 flying chicks in the tree in front of
Merle Norman.

Hi Paul,
I think Stacy is camping, so I'll answer.... You can always bring a few
photos to share in the open sharing time if you like. Or if you (or anyone)
wants to do a bigger show of pictures/stories from a trip for a Birder's
Night, you can schedule that for a future Birders Night.

Our next Birder's Night is Tuesday, June 28th
Since it is bird breeding time, a good topic of exploration this month is
the nests of our local breeding birds. We can look at species of interest,
beginning with associated habitat type and structural level (marsh,
ground, shrub, tree, cavity, cliff), type of nest, and what its eggs look
like. If you have any actual nests, pictures of nests (with/without
young), or stories of nests and/or fledglings please share.
The remaining year's meeting dates are:
8/23, 10/25, 12/15 (All are Tuesdays except Dec. is a Thursday)
June’s evening’s schedule:
6:30 pm unstructured social time (or earlier if you want to help set up)
7:00 pm open sharing time (stories, sightings, photos, video, artifacts,
journals, art, quizzes, questions)
7:30-8:15 pm Group discussion/exploration of our local bird nests
8:30-9:00 pm close up.
We are encouraging people to bring in bird-related books or other
literature to give away or share. We have a loaner ‘beginner’ scope and
tripod available. If you are interested in borrowing this, please contact
Jay Waters at 541-637-8270 (phone or text) or at waltershome@xxxxxxxxxxx.
Though, most people eat prior to the meeting, you’re welcome to bring
something to eat or drink for yourself and/or to share if you like. No
red, carpet-staining liquids, please.
Questions? Stacy Burleigh at stacymb13@xxxxxxxxx
