We had two visits from a Black-headed Grosbeak today. He is the first we have
seen this year. I noticed several small birds while working in my yard today
so my wife and I took and hour this evening and scouted the yard. We found a
Black-throated Gray, a Wilson’s , several Orange-crowned and an empidonax. We
were also entertained by our towhee who continues to attack our pickup. You
can hear an audible click each time he launches himself at the pickup so he is
not messing around.
