Following are some fun opportunities to get outside looking at birds with

SATURDAY, DEC 7, 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, BIRDING FIELD TRIP
Meet at the Church Road Parking area at Ford's Pond. We will bird Ford's
Pond a little bit, then carpool to a few other spots near Sutherlin. Bring
lunch, snacks, water, binoculars. If you need to borrow binoculars, let
Matt know.
TUESDAY, DEC 10, 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm, CBC REFRESHER
Let's review how to have a great CBC experience, find cool birds, and
identify some of the ones we commonly struggle with. Ford Room at the
Roseburg Public Library. Feel free to bring/share refreshments if you like.
If you have any particular topics you want discussed, let Matt know or come
with questions.
SUNDAY, DEC 15, 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, BIRDING FIELD TRIP
Meet at the Stewart Park Wildlife Area and Nature Trail (aka duck ponds) in
Roseburg. We will bird that area for a bit, then carpool to a few other
areas near Roseburg. Bring lunch, snacks, water, binoculars. If you need to
borrow binoculars, let Matt know.
Saturday, December 21, ALL DAY, ROSEBURG-SUTHERLIN CBC
This is one of the funnest birding events of the year. On the CBC, birders
go out in teams to specific areas to count birds all day long! Participants
include all skill levels and new folks are paired with those with more
experience. It's a great learning experience and great friendships are
made. When the sun goes down we meet at the Roseburg Public Library for
some gourmet seafood chowder, meat and veggie chilies, and other voluntary
potluck items, share stories of the day and count down the total species
