Five of us plus Barb had a great time looking for birds (and other things)
at her place on Roberts Creek Rd south of Dixonville. THANK-YOU BARB FOR
HAVING IS; WE REALLY ENJOYED YOU AND YOUR PROPERTY AND BIRDS!!! I recorded
36 species of birds from Barb's place, though several, such as a very
distant GOLDEN EAGLE, were a long way away. Other fun birds were CALIFORNIA
TOWHEE, one WHITE-THROATED SPARROW, great looks at a pair of RED-BREASTED
SAPSUCKERS, and what may have been a male/female pair of NORTHERN

Next we went to O.C. Brown County park, where the dog poop made it a
little more difficult to look up for the birds..... Nevertheless, there
were a few birds here, including a group of four RED-TAILED HAWKS, and

We next went to the GOSH Pond, aka Dixonville Quarry, where, well, we had
do step over some dead deer, but in any case we found a fairly cooperative
SWAMP SPARROW, and SAY'S PHOEBE, among a variety of other sparrows,
