her nest too!  My husband says the same family has been nesting there

Jeannie and I walked last Friday afternoon at the west entrance of the
BLM ranch.  We were on the ranch road a short distance from the gate when a
Bald Eagle sailed over our heads and swooped down.  It disappeared behind a
low hill so we couldn't see what it was doing, but a minute or two later it
reappeared and flew back over us carrying a big bunch of dry grass in its
talons.  It headed toward the stand of trees across the river where the
eagle nest is, so presumably it was doing repair work on the nest lining.
I got several photographs of the bird with the grass; the best is below.
