Hello, This is just and FYI, as many of you may remember Robin Dunn, she lived on Riddle Rd. next door to me. She attended some of the meetings early on and helped out with the original block party's. I hope this finds all well, Therese -----Original Message----- From: Robin Dunn [mailto:robinldunn736@xxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Sunday, January 18, 2009 9:23 PM Dear Family and Friends, This has been a rough year for me and some of you, I regret that I have not been in contact for quite some time. Jeff and I divorced on Dec. 11th 2008 and my Mom passed away after a 4 year battle with breast cancer on Dec. 17th. Mom battled hard for so long but the disease took a sharp turn this fall, and attacked her lungs. She went downhill very quickly in November even after a week long visit to the Cancer Center in Chicago. She became unable to breath and it was terrible to see how she suffered so much. We can all be assured that she is in a much better place and will no longer have to suffer the effects of this disease and all the other bad things that come with cancer and endless chemo treatments. I have attached the obituary that Dan wrote after Mom's passing. At Mom's request, she was cremated within a few days of her passing but Dan has been working so diligently on preparing something special for two memorial services... one in Albuquerque and one in Dayton. The one in Albuquerque is Sunday, Jan. 25th from 2-5pm (4pm - 7pm EST) and can be viewed online at www.danielsfuneral.com. The service in Dayton will be on Sunday, Feb.1st from 2pm - 5pm at The Normandy Methodist Church. Dan has started a started a memorial fund in Mom's name and is pairing up with the designer of the necklace that he gave her at Christmas, a couple days before she passed away. The shape of the necklace is like a tear drop that symbolized the suffering she had to go through with cancer. The CZ in the middle symbolizes the "bright light" of life that Dan saw in her. He would like anyone who wants to send flowers, to instead donate to the memorial fund. The checks can be written out to either Daniel L Harman or Cathy E. Harman and can be sent to the Daniels Funeral Home (they will manage the fund for now). I will get more information on the fund as time goes on, since he is still working on getting all the details together.
