This statement is from Turner Farm in Indian Hill:
"We are talking a lot around here about Ohio Issue 2. This issue would create
an amendment to the Ohio Constitution creating a 13 member politically
appointed board, at taxpayer's expense, to decide any and all regulations
related to animal agriculture. The board could make decisions that would
radically shift policy in any direction and would not require any public input
as part of the process. The board would have the power to override any act by
the Ohio Department of Agriculture or the state legislature, or any other
initiative or referendum brought before the Ohio public, other than an
additional constitutional amendment. This could include issues like the use of
antibiotics and growth hormones, genetically engineered animals, cloned
animals, animal ID and traceability, and factory farm zoning regulations. Vote
NO on Issue 2."
