March 12, 2013 To: UC Community From: Michael Cureton Public Safety Director Police Chief There were 12 residential burglary offenses committed in CUF and Corryville areas between Friday, March 08, and Saturday, March 09, 2013. Suspects gained access through unlocked windows and by prying open windows to residences. Laptops, iPods, cameras, and jewelry were taken in the offenses. Possible suspects are three black males, 14-20 years of age, wearing hoodies. Arrests have been made for several of the offenses and stolen property recovered. The common denominator to these offenses were unlocked windows. Please remember to secure windows whenever you are away from your house or apartment and remove expensive electronics from plain view. Cincinnati Police Districts Four and Five, in conjunction with UC Police are committed to reducing crime and disorder in CUF, Corryville and all areas surrounding the campus. Both departments have many resources and materials to help residents and property owners reduce their chances of victimization.
