Dear List,
I recently had a long mathematical equation that appeared to split over 2 lines
but I spotted my error in that I had a space that should not have been there.
However, for future reference, if parts of a multiplication are in brackets and
say a multiplication sign (or any operand) separates the two sides but ends up
putting the second set of brackets on the new line, where should the operand be
placed - on the first line or the second line and should there be a
continuation indicator dot like there is in chemistry word equations?
