Increasing the buffer does reduce the problem, proportionally to the
size of the buffer it appears, that is .. the pops and clicks seem to be
twice as far apart with a buffer double size (I tried a 16kb sound
buffer, up from 8kb). A 160kb buffer caused a segfault, just for
interest, lol :)
