Scott, yes you can use Wordpad with T A installed, it's just the speech pitch may be slightly at odds to what you are used to. David, Because the typeAbility scripts are encapsulated within wordpad.JSB, if you compile Wordpad.JSS that destroys the TypeAbility functionality. One of the things I often do is to keep the main application file intact, I.E. Wordpad.JSB, and put all my application scripts and functions in a file which in this case would be called WordPadCore.JSS/JSB. The "use" statement in the Wordpad.JSS would then link the two together. It's just at the moment if anyone wants to create their own Wordpad scripts they cannot do that. Again, nothing to worry about for this release but something perhaps to think about. So Scott to answer your question if David adopted that approach it would be OK to use FSEdit. It's OK David, we're just designing products for you here! I must listen to the march edition again, great, that gives me something to listen to on my stream tonight. Do you think FSEdit? Or perhaps Pocket Word? The reason I suggest pocket word is that on the PC we use Wordpad and that isn't a very powerful wordprocesser, that way you can still use FSEdit for creating notes etc. I don't think you can use wordpad at all when you've got the scripts installed, not that I've tried it. But then yes the BX could come eventually. If you listen to the FSCast with David, he talks about two products: I think one was called Easy-PC which would simulate various computing environments such as Outlook Express and Windows Explorer to teach people how to use those. The other was Braille Ability to teach people how to use Braille. So the pac mate would be ideal for that one. Do you know what the Pac Mate Omni product from Freedom Scientific is all about? Maybe you could consider it for the future but to have it on there would be just great.
