must be returned by March 15th, 2006 Ernest F. Couch is an Associate Professor and member of the graduate faculty in the Department of Biology at Texas Christian University, Fort Worth, Texas. He has received a B.S. from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, a M.A. from the University of North Texas in Denton and a Ph.D. from Tulane University in New Orleans. He is a member of the corporation at the Marine Biological Laboratory in Woods Hole, Massachusetts where he has spent many summers conducting research on crustacean endocrinology and physiology. Also he had a yearlong sabbatical at the Endocrine Institute in Maebashi Japan supported by the US-Japan Cooperative Science Program of the National Science Foundation. He has frequently returned to Japan as a visiting scientist to continue collaborative research on pituitary structure and function with a colleague at Saitama University outside Tokyo. His connection to the TSM dates back to 1968. Served as treasurer of TSEM (1973-1975) and served on several local arrangements committees (chair of one). He is just leaving the board of BRIT (Botanical Research Institute of Texas in Fort Worth) after serving for six years. He continues to be a member of the Science and Education Committee of BRIT. Courses taught at TCU include Cell Biology, Electron Microscopy (graduate course), and General Animal Physiology. Doss – Program Chair-Elect Phoebe J. Doss is currently at Alcon Laboratories, Inc., Fort Worth, TX. She received her B.S. in Agriculture from Oklahoma State University in 1981. She has been employed at Oklahoma State University since graduation where she received her microscopy training. She held research positions in the Department of Entomology and Plant Pathology where the focus was microscopy of plant/insect interactions. In 1997, as Lab Manager/Adjunct Instructor at the OSU Electron Microscopy Laboratory, she trained customers and students in TEM, SEM and confocal microscopy. She is currently a member of the Texas Society for Microscopy, the Oklahoma Microscopy Society (OMS) and the Microscopy Society of America. She was the OMS Biological Representative (1996-1997), OMS President Elect (1997-1998), OMS President (1998-1999), and OMS Past President (1999-2000).
