The blade isnt expensive but Im a bit worried about the other missing
bits.Is it still useful without the fence or can we just clamp a length
of timber to it when we need to?
There are a couple of orphaned mitre guides from other tools in the
store cupboard that we might be able to use.

Hi Gordon,
no it is not worth buying the blade and these tools were donated
before we had bought any of our own. We took them because we thought
we may be able to repair them cheaply if they needed repairing at
all.
We can certainly be more choosey in the future.
Cheers

Subject: [trowmensshed] Performance power band saw blade replacement
Chaps,
Ive been looking at the donated Performance Power band saw that needs
a
blade.
The replacement blade is approx £15.00 delivered.
We would also need to make a fence/guide of some kind to fit the
pressed steel bed.
Bearing in mind the fence is missing and that this is a very cheap
basic band saw equivalent to approx £80 from Aldi.
Latest models are 350w this is 250w.
Is it worth buying the blade?
As an aside, we need to look at tools a bit more closely when they
are
donated to make sure all the bits are there and that there are no
obvious faults.
