We've not responded because we're not likely in for Rainey Mt. this year,
given that we have no idea when we'll be able to get Jacob a vaccine. If
and when we are able to get him vaccinated, it will likely be a very
different story, and we know that it may be too late by then, but that is
just a part of what I guess has to go into living through this pandemic.
We will likely look into the offerings at Scoutland, but even that got
really dicey in terms of possible exposure, and "notification" of it via
newspaper report 48 hours later, last Summer before the week was out.
Obviously, completely outdoor activities, where distancing and masking can
be accomplished, are of very acceptable risk, but not everyone is willing
to mask, and we really can't wage a war all the time to cause them to be
willing. Overnight in shared accommodations doesn't seem to us to be a
good idea, and I'm not certain how the dining hall is managed at all, to
tell the truth, though I know they did something about it last Summer at
Rainey Mt.
