Hello. There is a box of flags available for pickup at the Sherriff's
office. Is anybody going to be over that way any time soon to pick up?

We have lots going on this month.
1) Monday evening. Class B; Webelos visiting. We are planting a few
trees--thank you Chris Wages; We also will be setting up a couple of
kitchens under the pavilion and cooking chicken cheese quesadillas. We are
going to welcome the webelos and show them how to set up stove and lantern
and one of your favorite "go-to" meals. The troop is going to purchase a
couple of rotisserie chickens. the patrols were supposed to be supplying
the tortilla shells, the cheese, the sour cream and the salsa. And chips
if you desire. Please make sure that each patrol is covered. You had been
working on menus before the break and who was bringing the appropriate food
items.
PATROL LEADERS please contact your patrol.
A few scouts will be planting some trees to replace the ones that did not
make it last year.
We will make final plans about the hike at the end of the month.
Also. We have a Blue and Gold to attend Sunday afternoon, 25 April . It
is in the chapel at about 4:30. I need a good representation from the
troop as we welcome aboard the new members.
also--and this is very important--I need a crew of scouts to be ushers
earlier that sunday afternoon at the memorial service for Eagle Scout Knox
Martin to be held at the GFUMC. Eddie would like us there at 1:30 for the
service to begin at 2:00 and we will be done at 3:30. I will be feeding
any scouts back at FBC or the scout hut in between the Memorial Service and
the Cub Scout Pack Meeting.
Please be ready to serve at one or both of these events. Service hours
will be awarded. I want at least six ushers and six scouts at the Pack
Meeting.
We also have the American Values Banquet this month. I am trying to find
the email with the date, but it will be a Thursday, and at least five
scouts for that event would be appreciated. Many of you have done this
before. It will be at the Chattahoochee Country Club as normal.
Be prepared on Monday for sign ups for these events and the hike on APRIL
23-24. Overnight and short hike on Saturday. Webelos may be coming along
for their first event.
