Scouts and parents,
We are actively seeking to build out fun activities for the scouts. I just
received the below information and in reality, I think these “high adventure”
activities are the epitome of cool things offered for our scouts. For more

FYI…there are age requirements for each of these adventures which are
documented for the specific path chosen. The Northern Tier High adventure
requires you to be 14 or having completed 8th grade and 13 years old. The Sea
Base adventure requires participants to be 12 unless participating in SCUBA
where they must be 13.

If you've always wanted to go on a high-adventure trek - or if adventure is
calling you back - 2022 is your year. The National High Adventure Bases are
#open4adventure.
Your Scouts BSA troop, Venturing crew, Sea Scout ship or Exploring post can
still register to attend one of the BSA's four National High Adventure Bases in
the summer of 2022.

There's nothing like attending a National High Adventure Base. Whether you're
catching dinner on a sailboat in the blue water of the Keys, dipping your
paddle into a crisp Canadian lake, climbing a rock face in a West Virginia
gorge or cowboying down a path cut by Kit Carson in New Mexico, the BSA's
high-adventure programs provide opportunities you just can not get anywhere
else.

Each High Adventure Base has options if you're not able to get a full group
together, and it doesn't take years. Adventure is waiting and we want to help
you get there.
