Everyone,
Hi! Kristin Keiser is teaching the Communications Merit Badge, and asked me to
look up these links. She wants the Scouts to do this prior to the first
meeting:
Before the first meeting, I would like the scouts to take a look at requirement
#8 Plan, Prepare, and Serve: Planning and conducting a program such as Court
of Honor, Interfaith Service, or Campfire Program.
It would be in the scout’s advantage to come to the first meeting with their
choice of type of program and a few ideas (there are lots of resources online
for skits, chants, songs, etc. for campfire programs).
These programs are covered in the handbook pages 57-69. There are planning
worksheets on pages 64-67. I will try to scan these pages ASAP and make them
available. Rick Colby is making copies of the worksheets that we will use
during our meetings and for the scout to utilize to complete some of the
requirements (Thanks Rick and Cyndi).
Communications Merit Badge Workbook/Worksheet (you can fill out parts of the
Merit Badge online, we also will bring hard copies to first session):

Subject: [troop286] Communication Merit Badge
Hello,
The following scouts have signed up for the Communication Merit Badge:
Landon Gump
Max Colby
Colby Keiser
Jonathan North
Adam Cartwright
Nate Bailey
Zane Bailey
Brendan Hopping
As of now, I am offering the sessions on Mondays since we are in a routine of
having troop meeting on that day of the week.
June 27 6:30
August 1 6:30
August 29 5:00, before a regular meeting (this may be the “open house”
session when scouts can come and meet with me individually to
complete/demonstrate skills needed for requirements).
Before the first meeting, I would like the scouts to take a look at requirement
#8 Plan, Prepare, and Serve: Planning and conducting a program such as Court
of Honor, Interfaith Service, or Campfire Program.
It would be in the scout’s advantage to come to the first meeting with their

I’m really looking forward to us digging in on this merit badge!
Sincerely,
Kristin Keiser
