As Chuck mentioned in his post on this subject, you can have HJT create its log and then YOU post it here, not yonder. As to the F2 thing that you saw, that is part of Dell's POST screen that tells you to press [F2] if you wish to access the BIOS setup utility. If you wish to explore that, try tapping on that key [F2], obviously, just before you saw that message. Don't go making any changes in there!, but I see nothing wrong with your becoming familiar with its contents. Sooner or later you'll come across something related to what you saw in there and something will click in your mind and you'll realize what it is and how it also is part of your box. Learning is an everyday task, eh? Post that log in here, that way WE can see it and ponder on it and speak to you 'bout it, O.K.? For one, from this post of yours, Trend Micro is one of the bundled packages from Dell, lest you bought and installed it yourself. The problem with these 'one program to do everything' utilities, is that such programs seldom excell at any of their tasks. Its sort of a 'jack of all trades, master of none' syndrome - at least that's my opinion, such as in the case of ZoneAlarm that we recently discussed on the list. Armando "It is one of the most beautiful compensations of this life that no man can sincerely try to help another without helping himself." Merry Christmas to all from a foggy and cool (70° F) South Florida. -----Original Message----- >From: Juanita Kimble <jkimble@xxxxxxxxx> >Sent: Dec 19, 2005 4:55 PM >To: triadtechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx >Subject: [triadtechtalk] Re: Windows Messanger > > >From: "Armando Barreiro" > > >> Why not copy/paste the list of the running progs. into a message to the >> board, Juanita? >> That way we can all participate and learn simultaneously. > >Well I didn't realize you got the same running processes from the control >panel that you get from running msconfig.
