Subject: [triadtechtalk] Brother HL1250 printer

Hello
I have another problem on my computer. A few months ago, my boss gave me an old laser printer, Brother HL1250, which goes well. I connected it to my PC and everything was fine ........ until a friend was using my computer and, of course, did absolutely nothing to create this little irritation, well a bit irritation for me.
All of a sudden, a dialogue box came on the screen which says Multiple Page (Brother HL-1250 series). If I click the cross to close it, it immediately pops up on the screen again.
I had a few emails with Brother who were quite helpful. Eventually the tech guy told me to rith click it and choose "indicator on taskbar" which I did but all that does is instead of having the dialogue box on the screen, I have a little icon in my taskbar - which I dont want!! I said to them why does it sit there when it never used to and that I didnt want it there but all he could come up with was:
"We are unable to stop it all together. All you can do is have it appearing on the task bar like it is doing now or have the dialogue box reappearing"
which seems pretty silly to me.
Also, I think this is causing something to keep sort of moving on my screen, for instance the cursor sort of moves as if something hs happening. I just went to my Outlook Express to get the exact words of his response, and my screen wouldnt stay there, it keeps popping back to this screen without my telling it to. I'm sure it is to do with the printer.
Any ideas anybody?
Thanks
Sandy :)
PS Did you get my last message abt the camera??
