The Record Store Day album 'star king' was compiled from the bonus tracks of
the 'bump'n'grind' and 'shadowhead' albums, as requested by Edsel, with the
addition of three awesome tracks previously only available on the limited
Promotional CD for TPL / 'shadowhead' and the unreleased 'Squint Eye Mangle'
(rough mix). Thunderwing were happy to have the opportunity of having these
tracks being made available on vinyl, as the two other records had been as
Record Store albums the two previous years. TPL were pleased to be able to
produce another quality and detailed package. Are the 4 tracks worth it if you
don't have them? Yes. You can always download them from Amazon, etc. if you
don't want the package.
I think there are around 20 copies on eBay at the moment, all new and sealed,
bought by dealers to make some extra money and to deprive those who attend the
stores on RSD from being able to get copies on the day. Where are all the used
copies Stewart, I can't find them? The many outstanding reviews of the first
two CDs came about because TPL sent copies to the media, who were all excited
to write about the historic releases, and if Edsel had given TPL copies to send
out to the media I have great faith that the album would have been as well
received as it was from all the fans who wrote to TPL and myself about how they
enjoyed the music, the sequencing, the detailed sleeve notes, illustrations and
design work. Unfortunately Edsel chose not to eat in to their profits by
promoting the album.

Judging by how many used versions are available on the Internet and how few
reviews they are of the AlbumSpeaks volumes .

I'm going through some old emails, pretending I'm actually doing something by
clearing stuff up, and came across this one from April 2021. I see that this
album was actually released as it is in Discogs but it slipped my notice; I
don't think I was paying attention to Record Store Day.
Who picked it up? I have the Bump 'N' Grind and Shadowhead CDs so I have 6 of
the 10 tracks. Can the other 4 be worth it? Or do I have the3m elsewhere?
Thanks,
Al
