Hi Renee so sorry I didn’t make it I. My husband and I down fast with a
virus on Friday and I’ve barely been out of bed. Strangely the same thing
happened for the working bee before that!
I’m happy to help any other time things need doing!

We had a small but productive working bee team on beautiful Saturday, and
a great lunch thanks to Megan Noy, TPS Assistant Principal.
Special thanks to those of you who came. It’s really appreciated.
What we did:
- put a gate on the Farm, yay!
- tidied up the Farm water tank area, getting ready for planting
native food plants in the garden bed there
- fixed up the timbers in the newly emptied sandpit, and installed a
shade cloth screen to block the ugly view into the laneway
- worked on fixing the irrigation in the ‘little kids’ garden
- chooks, changed the feeder (Lizzie is going to sell the old one,
funds to TPS)
- turned compost
- did lots of weeding
- pruned the Farm Privet hedges really hard (yes, they’ll come back)
- took a ute load of green waste to the tip
- maybe something else Ian knows about?
Many, many thanks to Mel, Ian and the support of the Adams-Cowling family
who really helped me to make this WB happen, against a few timing,
communication and organisational difficulties.
NEXT WB: more details in another email, but we’re looking at a date in
July to finish work on the front native food garden on Hutton Street prior
to NAIDOC celebrations. This is a vital task to get done.
Also, the sandpit needs re-filling. I’ll have a look at the options with
Leon and Megan for doing it. Maybe a focussed prep/1 parent wb? Maybe
paying someone to do it. 6 cubic metres of sand is quite a bit.
