Thanks so much Ian and team... Sorry I can't help, I am long gone up the
coast...
Looking forward to 2018 and garden loving... Will be around TPS around 10th Jan
for my year prepping so might catch some of you.
Happy New Years! May we grow an urban jungle in 2018.
Best,
Aviva

The latest with the irrigation…
Lizzy will be leading an irrigation implementation team on Thursday at
1.30pm. Finley will be joining her, so if anyone else is free then, that
would be a perfect time to help out.
As a backup, and to make watering the fruit trees easier over summer, I have
installed two retractable hose reels – one in the front farm corner and one
right next to the gardening classroom (see photos below). I have actually
left the taps on for these, so all you need to do is pull the hose and press
the trigger (and check that there hasn’t been any epic leaks while the tap
has been on).

I also bought another two tap keys and have placed one in the garden
classroom cabinet (see photo below again).

The other part of the backup plan if irrigation is not finished this week, is
that Renée will try to get it done during the holidays – thanks so much Renée!
Cheers,
Ian.

Subject: [tpsenviro] Help with Irrigation Installation
Hi all,
I know everyone is crazy-busy at this time of year, but if any of you can
find a few minutes to help putting together the irrigation during the week,
that would be very much appreciated. The big hoses that join each garden bed
are down under the mulch, so the main job now is assembling the dripper hoses
for each garden bed, which can be done in the garden classroom or prep
playground area, and then taken over and joined up later. I have left all the
tools and parts necessary in the shed (and a lot of the pipes have already
been cut by students of 3/4C), as well as diagrams of what to do – you just
need a key to get in, which you can grab from Lauren in the front office.
Obviously give me a call if you’re not sure of anything – 0421 736 796.
Thanks!
Ian.
