The page doesn't mention that it's a PAL only demo... We were trying to get it 
to run on an NTSC 64.

I have a PAL c64c connected to a PAL 1702 and the demo works fu=ube on mine.
I am not following the thread; what do you guys need to do?

At last night's TPUG meeting we were trying to get the matrix demo (link below) 
to work. We tried it on about 6 different 64s with no luck. But we didn't have 
a PAL version to try. Who has a PAL 64 that can give it a shot?
