I have a magazine article somewhere that describes
all the necessary parts, and how to connect it all

a track and sector LCD displays with for the 1541
but I have no idea where this article is right now.

I've seen pics of a track LCD display with density indicator
by UU/Super Copy but it doesn't have sector display or half-track indicator

it's not at all practical for copying software, it's just a "cool" mod,
but I'd like to put it all together in a drive,
have 2 digit LCD for track, 2 digit LCD for sector,
4 small LEDs for density and 1 other small LED for half-track indicator

no, I'm not trying to rebuild "The Shadow" (MegaSoft Vaporware)
just the display and indicator portions.

several things could be added to this, such as a drive reset button,
write-protect switch (very simple), device number switch (8/9) also easy

put it all together and you could have a little kit for a 1541
to make the drive look very cool

so if anyone has any of this info, it'd be appreciated.
I'll try to dig up the old article I have, but at the moment I have no
clue where it might be.

Dan.
