The IEEE-488 cable at 123Ink must need this adapter for the PET end
though, right?

It's fairly easy to find regular IEEE-488 cables with the GPIB
connectors on each end, but the Commodore-specific ones with the edge
connector for the PET are really rare. So the adapter linked above is
really helpful.
