One thing that RetroPie does *very* badly is VIC-20 (and I suppose by
extension, PET/C-16/+4) gaming. The only way you can make it play a
non-C64 game is to go into a fairly low-level machine options menu and
pick your VICE binary. You have to do that every time you want to
emulate another Commodore 8-bit machine.
The other glitch that I find RetroPie has is getting it to remember your
VICE joystick setup.
I do recommend the Amiberry/WHDLoad RetroPie upgrade for Amiga. While it
makes loading games a little slower than from ADFs, it gets all of the
settings right and picks the right ROM first time.
