Couldn't attend either but they had a good show. Anyway, lots of us locals
from the kw area and a few from the GTA on there. Pre-covid we used to meet
up at a local maker/hacker space monthly to show recent acquisitions or
projects.. soldering, fixing or help.. bit of a swap meet etc. WoRC kind
of grew out of that groups dissatisfaction with the odd outdoor meetup or
garage swap/etc. Anyway, see you over there on the discord.
Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas.

Nice, thank you Stuart. I didn't know about Mindflare Retro. One of the
videos was about the World of Retro Computing Expo held several months
ago. Unfortunately I was not able to attend, but that is exactly the kind
of thing I've been hoping to have here in Ontario. I also really enjoyed
WoC and in person TPUG meetings, though I've only attended three or four
times each. I've been a member of other user groups in Toronto and it's
fun to meet with people in person, have a topic or presentation to cover
and spur discussions, have a meal and some drinks together, etc. It's not
really the same on zoom calls.

This list is great for Commodore and Amiga topics, but does anyone know
of local (Ontario or GTA) groups for more general vintage computing
discussions, buy/sell/trade, etc. ? I’m aware of the VCFed forums and use
them already, but I’m just looking for something local where I can actually
meet with people, work on restoration projects, buy parts, etc.
