I know this is a little off topic but figured most folks who are into moths
would also be interested in cicadas.  The Great Southern Brood (XIX) of the
13-year cicada is due to emerge this year.  It is the most widespread brood
and includes parts of TN and NC; be on the lookout in May/June, for more
