That is a fantastic number of mid Feb moths and your posts are awesome. Do I
see a book in the making? I’m seeing next to nothing in Washington County, TN.
Guess I need to make some sugar bait. I also need to replace bulbs. I still
won’t get those kind of numbers. Thanks for your wonderful posts.

Subject: [tn-moths] Re: Sugar Bait Survey - February 9, 2020
Thanks for sharing your amazing photos of moths. I am a very amateur mother
from my home in Marion County, Tn, but am now in Virginia for special work and
have not tried to get into the moths here. By all appearances it would take a
lot of use of sugar bait and right lighting and other things to have success.
I had amazing results at my log house in Marion County. Best to you as you
continue such significant photographing and recording.

Weather has not been conducive for much moth activity this month with February
9, 2020, the exception and some of it was in the rain…again. Any winter night
that you get 14 species, 6 species of Lithophanes (Pinions), and a new one, I
think is a good night. Images
