Now that's neat. You have your moths trained so you can "monitor" them. Remind me, what is your county? Jean Obrist ----- Original Message ----- From: kjchilds To: tn-moths@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Sunday, January 24, 2010 2:06 PM Subject: [tn-moths] Re: Reporting FOY moth observations I've seen a few on the warmer evenings but haven't taken the time to try and track down what they are. If you want to include Plodia interpunctella, I can add those as a last of year on 12/31 or a FOY on 1/1. With grain for the horses and seed for the wild birds, these pests are always here. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: Jean Obrist <innisfreehorses@xxxxxxxxxx> To: tn-moths@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Sun, January 24, 2010 9:09:16 AM Subject: [tn-moths] Reporting FOY moth observations Thank you, Larry. We now have three species for 2010. Everyone, keep your eyes open..... the moths are flying. Until we have a user input method available, I will keep simple records of FOY moths species by county and date. When reporting to this list, and/or to my email, please include genus, species, date and county. It is helpful to have Hodges number and/or family also. At this point for moths we are not distinguishing larva, adult or number of individuals. Just the fact that a particular species has been observed on a certain date in a certain county. We don't need photos for FOY reporting. I will post periodic summaries. To date: Cocke 1 and Washington 2.
