Dear Fellow Leppers, I have been meaning to let you all know about another course on Lepidoptera that is occurring this summer. The course takes place in the amazing Chiricahua Mountains of southeastern Arizona at the Southwestern Research Station from August 14 to 22. I was a student at the course last summer, and not only was the moth diversity incredible (more than 300 species photographed in a week), but I learned a heck of a lot of moth biology. The faculty at this year's course is great with experts in many major groups in attendance. The station itself is in a picturesque setting, and the food is plentiful and very good. And lest you are worried about the heat (although I don't imagine people from the Carolinas and Tennessee are scared off by heat), the station is at 5000 feet and thus night-time temperatures are in the mid-60s. More information about the course can be found at: http://nitro.biosci.arizona.edu/lep/lep-2011.html. The application deadline for the course is June 14. Hugh
