Here is Kris Light's update of moths for Anderson, Blount and Sevier Counties. We set up a black light and sheet overnight to attract moths and other insects. I also took photos each night at home (cutting down on my needed sleep!). Here are the photos and the name list is attached, starting with the Virginia(n) tiger moth. http://picasaweb.google.com/klight10/MothsAndersonCountyTN2010# I got several more that I'm working on, it just takes a long time to compare photos with those on other sites. It is so rewarding to finally make a match though! :) I hope these will help get Anderson Co.'s numbers up! :) I also saw a Painted Lichen moth in the Smokies (Cades Cove, Blount Co.) and an Elm Sphinx (Sevier Co.) on 6-12-10 if that is any help. Thanks! Kris Light
