Like everyone else, my moth sheet has been inundated with beetles ranging from
1/4 inch to over an inch.
Now the beetles have upped the ante with this three-inch sucker. I was fooled,
as maybe some of its enemies into thinking it had huge pincers. Then I
wondered: where are legs number five and six? Those are actually legs,
although maybe used for mating?

I think it's a Giant Water Bug, Lethocerus americanus. Apparently they are
also called: Electric Light Bug, Toe Biter and Fish Killer.
