I've lightened it way up.

Yes, it’s not the size of the image, it’s the dark background.

Thanks, Ken. Still not detailed enough for me to say for sure, checking it
against my resource materials. But it does not look like the typical length of
projection (long) on terminal appendages of Familiar Bluet, it does look short,
if not being fooled by the dark background. And the occipital bar is visible
and obvious, at least. Best I can do. Maybe it is Atlantic, but you might look
for it next year to get really good shots; maybe in-hand close ups if possible.

Ken, That size is not enough detail for me to judge, having not seen E.
doubledayi, Atlantic Bluet, before myself. But if Marion thinks it looks good
for it, I'd suggest you send a larger file to Odonata Central and submit as
such. They might want a specimen eventually, but it might be a state record.

Hi Ken, If you could attach or post a link to a larger file to study
details, it would help. I couldn't enlarge the image at BugGuide. Would be neat
if it's a new area record. Richard C Nashville In a message dated

Someone in-the-know please take a look at this record on BG. It was
originally ID'd as Enallagma civile but someone is questioning that ID.
