Do you think some of the Silvery Checkerspots are from the caterpillars you saw
on your sunflower?

Eighteen species of butterflies were seen in the yard today. Seventeen were
seen in the garden and one at the woodland edge. Of these, I observed the
Cloudless Sulphur, the Eastern Tailed-blue and the American Lady ovipositing.
While I didn’t see the Sleepy Oranges doing this, I did disturb them off of
their host plant when walking by.
