May 26, 2009. Kentucky Manor, 5211 Kentucky Avenue, Nashville, Davidson County, TN 360934N (36.15944) and 0865102W (-86.85055) Four species of butterflies were at the Manor today. Red Admiral. This is not the first for the season here at Kentucky Manor, the first being on April 23, but then it was present for only a few seconds and no digital was made. This is the first time since it has been seen on the grounds. Only seen sunning on top of a plastic container. Digitals attached. Hackberry Emperor. Three were present today. Ripe mulberries were part of their diet. Digitals obtained. Question Mark. One individual was seen off and on. The ripe mulberries being an attraction. Digitals obtained. Cabbage White. Three fluttered around all day, mainly in the front yard, which is the sunny part of the grounds. Almost were never out of sight of the species. Michael Lee Bierly, Nashville, Davidson County, TN
