They have picked up noticeably in the eastern part of the state, too. There
were dozens seen in Loudon County (Tellico Dam) a week ago.
My impression is that they’re having a better season than last year.

There's been a slow but steady stream of Monarchs here the past 2 days. There's
never more than 2 or 3 at a time nectaring on my flowers but they're moving
through all day long. I was in Jackson last night between 5:30 and 6 and saw
several flying SW at about traffic signal height.
