The MAJOR highlight was an amazing 8 Bronze Coppers sighted around the pond at the Lower Hatchie NWR office. They were all males, most of them quite fresh, and perching on Smartweed which lined the edges of the pond. There were also big numbers of E. Tailed-Blues and American Snouts, and good showings by Southern Dogfaces, Question Marks, and Hackberry Emperors. There are two more fall seasonal counts to come; Clifton Bend on Sept. 7 and Meeman-Shelby Forest on Sept. 14. Details will be provided closer to the dates. Bart Jones Memphis, Shelby Co.
