Thanks for the report and with numbers. These reports are the only way I
know what species are in an area and how many. Would not have known about
the Phaon's and others. I hope others will regularly do the same. My, you
got 75 Dainty's and not a single Sachem. Must be a county record.

Well, the numbers of butterflies have dropped substantially in the last week
or so here in Shelby County.  Still, today's field trip turned in a good
number of species and individuals.  Note that these numbers are estimates
except for those less than 10.

Dainty Sulphur - 75

Eastern Tailed-Blue - 40
American Snout - 1
Gulf Fritillary - 1

Phaon Crescent - 20
Pearl Crescent - 75
Question Mark - 5
Eastern Comma - 3
Red Admiral - 8
Common Buckeye - 5
Red-spotted Purple - 10
Viceroy - 2
Hackberry Emperor - 1
Carolina Satyr - 1
Monarch - 1
Common/White Checkered-Skipper - 10
Clouded Skipper - 1
Least Skipper - 25
Fiery Skipper - 100
