The gulf frits must all be in west TN. They were nectaring this morning as soon
as the temp reached 40! Ken Childs

Subject: [TN-Butterflies] Eastern Tailed-Blue, Campbell Co.
Butterfly season is heading into extra innings, so here’s a “what’s still
flying” report. Mindy Fawver and I went hiking at the Sundquist Unit of Royal
Blue WMA, in Campbell County, this afternoon (November 13). The temperature
rose to probably 62 or 63, and we saw a dozen species still flying. We found a
tattered Eastern Tailed-Blue nectaring on aster. Looking back through my
notes, this appears to be my latest date for this species in Tennessee. Has
anyone else seen one later? Full list: Checkered-Skipper sp.Clouded
