I have spent some time the last two weekends at Standifer Gap Marsh. I
hadn't really spent much time looking for butterflies there in the past so
have been pleasantly surprised at both the total number and number of
species found. I've started a photo gallery that shows some of the species
found there so far and plan to update it over time.
http://www.pbase.com/dspicer/sgm Some of these aren't the best but are all
we were able to get at the time. Hopefully you will enjoy them anyway.

A few species of note:

Dion Skipper - Yesterday I found 5 or 6 of these which for me is unusual
since I've only seen these one at a time before.

Least Skipper - On Aug. 14 these were second only to Sachem's as the most
numerous species see.

Checkered White - I saw one of these on both trips.

Little Yellow - Certainly not the type of habitat most experts list for this
species.

Common Checkered-skipper - Yesterday I had more of these than I've ever seen
in one day.

Viceroy - Yesterday I saw between 15 and 20 of these.

Hayhurst's Scallopwing
Common Sootywing
Delaware Skipper

Other species seen:
Eastern Tiger Swallowtail
Spicebush Swallowtail
Orange Sulphur
Gray Hairstreak
Eastern-tailed Blue
Gulf Fritillary
Pearl Crescent
Eastern Comma
Red Admiral
Carolina Satyr
Monarch
Silver-spotted Skipper
Clouded Skipper
Fiery Skipper
Crossline Skipper
Sachem
Dun Skipper

I suspect there are more to find in areas I didn't get to for lack of time
and boots that would let me wade through the marshy areas.

Enjoy,
