Hi Everyone,
We are only a month away from the first spring count! I know everyone is
concerned about the coronavirus, so here's what we are going to do. If you do
not feel well at all, please do not attend. If you are over 60, please take
that into consideration, but our groups are small and we can manage to avoid
close contact. I plan to conduct both spring counts regardless of numbers. If
we have fewer than 4 observers, I will ask for a waiver from NABA to include
the count. So here's the schedule:
Clifton Bend - April 11
Meeman-Shelby - April 18
Decatur County - June 6
Reelfoot Lake - June 13
Meeman-Shelby - June 27
Jackson - July 11
Lower Hatchie - July 25
Clifton Bend - August 29
Meeman-Shelby - September 12
I will send out another email with details about each count about a week before
the date. Let's hope the rain will begin to taper off so we can get outside!
I know the butterflies are beginning to fly and I am ready to go out and see
them!
