Call the Kentucky Department for Environmental Protection, which is responsible for enforcing most water quality regulations in Kentucky. Can someone educate me on the laws covering riparian areas, and what can you do and not do legally, in the name of "progress". For example, the stream I am speaking of has had large CAT vehicles driving through the sream, breaking off rocks that serve as the stream bed, and even stopping the flow by dirt that has been pushed into the stream bed, thus producing a muddy mess.? If exsiting laws have been broken, who do you go to seek protection for the environment? I obviously have a lot to learn, but it seems noone is speaking up to protect this area.
