The Knox Co Spring Count will be tomorrow, Sunday 24 April (last Sunday in
April).
There are still a few good areas open if anyone would like to cover them,
and feederwatchs are always welcome (if you live in Knox Co of course).
Available areas include:
- UT Cherokee Farm
- Third Creek Greenway and Lakeshore Park
- Halls Greenway
- Eastbridge industrial park (probably early for Bank Swallows but worth a look)
- Collared-Dove site around New Hope Missionary Baptist at Cecil and Crockett
(off Cherry St exit in east Knoxville)
Please reply to me offlist if interested. Results needed for the count
are similar to eBird (an eBird checklist will work) and include...
- location covered
- names of all participants and contact info for at least one person
- start and stop time
- hours and miles by foot, car, boat, etc
- list with number of each species observed
Thanks,
Dean Edwards
Knoxville, TN
